2018 Year End La Plata County Statistics

The 2018 MLS statistics for La Plata County were just released and they show strength in our local real estate market.  Overall, La Plata County home sales are down 3.1% while the median price rose 5.7%.  As all real estate is local, areas of the county with the highest median price gains are where the number of sales was reduced the most; areas of low inventory have the highest price increase. Radon is commonly high in Durango, Bayfield, Southwest Colorado in general. I always recommend my Buyers test for it and ask for it to be mitigated if it comes back high, as it is the #1 cause of lung cancer in NON-SMOKERS. So why the 'Lucky Dog' Blog?  Maybe I am slightly obsessed with my mini Aussie, Lucky.  Durango is a dog town, I am a dog person, and we are surely living our best life here in SW Colorado.  Durango Colorado living has so much to offer, including some of the best trails in the world and 350 days a year on average to enjoy them. November 2nd already, where has 2018 gone?! Still, so much to look forward to. The air is crisp, there is snow on the mountains, and so we look forward to things like Purgatory Mountain opening day and The Polar Express returning.
